The X Ultra 5 Mid Gore-Tex is a dependable, confidence-boosting hiking ally. Lightweight yet stable, it's as good at charging up hills as it is at tackling descents. Designed to keep you safe and agile on trails, with an ultra-durable Matryx®️ upper, a long lasting Contagrip outsole for grip and a collar area tailored for lasting comfort.

- All Terrain Contagrip® outsole is built for the widest variety of surfaces and delivers durability & confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces
- EnergyCell midsole is a high performance EVA foam that provides shock attenuation
- Advanced Chassis™ molded insert embedded in the outsole provides strong lateral support and reassuring protection, and delivers optimal mobility and flexibility
- Matryx® upper high-performance textile resists abrasion with individually-coated high-tenacity Kevlar® and technical yarn – that also make it light and breathable
- Soft, breathable lining for extreme comfort
- SensiFit™ upper cradles the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, snug, and virtually customised fit all around the foot
- Active Support mobile wings help hold the foot in place and accompany its movement, adapting to its shape and volume
- Molded OrthoLite® sockliner matches the contours of your foot. This OrthoLite® insole provides superior cushioning, breathability and durability, to upgrade the comfort and performance of your shoe.
- Traditional lacing system with eyelets
- Ultra-light GORE-TEX PFC free membrane combines a lower environmental footprint with waterproof performance and reliable breathability. Based on expanded Polyethylene (ePE).
- To help reduce impact on the environment, no harmful PFC are used to ensure the water repellency of Salomon shoes. Salomon's waterproof GORE-TEX models are free from PFCec.
- Materials are made from recycled products such as PET bottles or material waste
